PART1 Introduction

The “Suzuran” earphones are the first product in Daruma Audio's new “X-Melody” series. In the “X-Melody” series, we will develop a rich lineup of earphones and headphones based on our technology and experience, combined with the expertise of veteran audio manufacturers in China.

Additionally, products in the “X-Melody” series are primarily developed in collaboration with partner manufacturers, and are produced, inspected, and packaged under our supervision. By outsourcing production, we can ensure faster development speeds, increased production capacity, reduced inventory risks for components, and lower product costs, enabling us to offer more affordable pricing for our customers.

PART2 Appearance

Suzuran uses resin material for the housing and is coated with UV paint, making it a rare white housing in the audio industry. The faceplate is based on white, with a thin, elegant blue aurora pattern, and features a silver “X-Melody” logo, finished with transparent UV resin.

The overall design is compact and cute, with each earpiece weighing just 5g.

This is approximately half the weight of a metal housing.

When the angle of the housing is changed, a luminous glow reminiscent of a “shimmering sky” appears within the faceplate, creating an appearance that captivates customers at first glance.

PART 3 Sound Quality

Suzuran adopts a φ10mm dual magnetic circuit dynamic driver unit. As the first product in the ‘X-Melody’ series, it was developed with a different tuning approach from the existing T series.

T series: Maximizes driver performance and reduces excessive sound components (such as harsh high frequencies) using methods like nozzle filters.

Suzuran: By appropriately adjusting the driver performance's dynamics, it reduces excessive elements and aims for a natural sound.

As a result, unlike the ‘refined bass-heavy’ and ‘fun to listen to’ T5000, the Suzuran offers a softer bass-heavy, beautiful sound that allows you to enjoy a wide range of genres comfortably. Additionally, due to its softer bass-heavy nature, customers can further customize the sound to their preference using methods such as re-cabling or ear tips.

＜Development 1: Changing Earpieces＞

Suzuran comes standard with six types of earpieces. By changing the earpieces, you can experience the different charms of Suzuran, which are designed for weak bass and natural sound production.

＜Customization Part 2: Recable＞

By changing the cable, the characteristics of the cable are directly transmitted to the driver via the dual magnetic circuit, resulting in significant changes in sound quality. Therefore, depending on the recable, the Suzuran can achieve a significant improvement in sound quality, and it is also recommended as a product for evaluating cables.

＜Customization Option 3: Filter Replacement＞

By replacing the nozzle filter with one of the five optional filters available for the Suzuran, you can experience subtle changes in soundstage and resonance. Combining this with cable replacement and earpiece changes, you can customize the Suzuran into a “semi-custom” model tailored to your preferences, creating the perfect Suzuran for yourself.
