Unlike most modern earphones where each sound source is organically connected to create a unified sound, these earphones feel more like each person is playing their assigned part with all their strength and making a kind of self-assertion. In reality, I can perceive that the low, mid, and high frequencies handled by DD, BA, and Micro Planar each have slightly different characteristics. So the smoothness, delicacy, and sense of luxury are lost. Instead, the sound is powerful, direct, and very entertaining.
In particular, the high notes are very clear, clean, and energetic. It's not flashy or pretty; it's dry and has thin lines, but it makes a cool, open sound. Westerners might find this level harsh, but people in Korea or Japan, for example, are likely to say that it's nice because it's moderately cool and bright.
In the low frequency range, it is not as strong as expected. It's definitely not a sound that basshead fans would like. It's not overly thumpy, and you don't feel any noticeable rumble. However, the expression of extremely low frequencies is quite well done, and the sound is heavily processed with effects, making it enjoyable to listen to. It's also softer compared to high-pitched sounds.
It feels like the presence of the board members is slightly overshadowed. The vocals themselves are clear and distinct, possibly due to the high-pitched effects, and both female and male vocals stand out brightly, but overall it's a bit disappointing. It seems more like a limitation of the driver or a problem with the crossover network rather than interference from low or high frequencies. I don't know the exact reason, though.
Still, I think it's worth it just because it's not that annoying New Meta-like sound that's been coming out lately. I would recommend it if you can actually afford the initial cost of $100.
