This DACis composed of 48 high-precision thin-film resistors per channel, totaling 192 resistors with 0.1% accuracy and low temperature drift (30 ppm), providing a distinctive and richly textured sound. Compared to non-fully differential R2R designs,the design used in the BR15 R2R results in lower noise and fewer FFT harmonics, resulting in a darker music background.
